Rooted in the rich cultural ecology of New Orleans, her work spans the traditional stage and the academic archive, bridging the past and present to inspire communal healing and intellectual inquiry.
Kai Knight’s unique expertise translates profound historical knowledge into groundbreaking, formalized systems, including the development of African Diaspora Embodied Movement Therapy (ADEMT) and her critical scholarship on Pan-African resilience. She is dedicated to advancing the field of Dance Studies while actively engaging communities.
